What you need:
• Albrecht Dürer Magnus in pale geramium lake 121, dark red 225, helioblue-reddish 151
• Water brush
• Watercolour paper with fine surface in DIN A4 or DIN A5

Step 1

Ideally drape a towel on a crossbar (eg on a broomstick, which is suspended by 2 backs of chairs). Please make sure that the illumination makes the wrinkle form of the towel very clear.
Strong light contrast make the towel and later your drawing, look more vivid and interesting.
Alternatively, you can use a photo as a drawing template.

First, draw the outline of the wrinkle form of the towel and the crossbar with pale geranium lake 121 on the watercolour paper. Precisely look at the towel and intensify the dented areas.

Step 2

After that, complete the surfaces and wrinkles with pale geranium lake 121 and dark red 225. Intensify the deepened areas additionally with helioblue-reddish 151.

Step 3

To finish, draw everything with water brush. Please make sure that the wrinkles of the towel and the points of light stay visible and do not mix with the other colours.
